We are looking for U12 and U14 players who are interested in participating in the Jr. Disney Showcase in July.  If you are interested, please see one of our coaches.  

 

Fundraising Update

Are you part of the travel team?  Will you be traveling to MA?  Disney?  Are you looking for a way to potentially freeze membership fees in the future or interested in seeing SSFH offer scholarships to its members?  Then you are the right person to help out the fundraising team!  We have many diverse ways to join us and have fun doing it.

Our goal is currently to raise monies to defray some of the costs associated with our travel team's expenses.  *Our vision forward is to not only have the travel team membership participating in the fundraising effort, but to have as many members of the club as possible participating so that we may have enough of a reserve to potentially absorb membership fee increases or to offer member scholarships to those who may want to join but may not have the means each year.   

 

Adult Happy Hour Event

Friday, May 2nd 6-8pm     Carnegie @ Maplewood Inn, Liverpool

Ticket sales are in full swing.  Tickets are $25/person in advance or $35/person at the door.  Thank you to those of you who have either already purchased tickets or have taken them to sell.  You do NOT have to purchase the tickets up front, but if you are part of the travel team or signed up to be part of this event's committee, we do ask that you participate in the ticket sales and please contact Kelly Alberici for tickets at  aalberic@twncy.rr.com as soon as possible and help us meet our goal of selling 100 tickets!  We would love this event to be a real community event, so although it is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better and have a great time, reach out to those in the community that would love a fun night out with music, great food and raffle prizes all included in the cost of their ticket price!  Thank you to the Borchardt family for offering to host this event at Carnegie.  We are all grateful for your support!

 

Golf Tournament

Saturday, June 14, 2014  1:00pm            Northern Pines, Cicero, NY

Our Golf Tournament Committee is in full swing! We are in need of basket/raffle donations and foursomes.  Please  contact Dave Towers at dtowers2@verizon.net if you would like to register for a foursome or if you or your company would be interested in sponsoring the event in some way please contact Jodi DeAugustine @ jodide1@verizon.net .  We are in need of in-kind sponsors for food and drinks, hole sponsors and general event sponsors.  Any and all generous donations would be most welcome!

 

Gertrude Hawk Candy Sale

Just in time for your Easter baskets!!!!  Once again this year we will be kicking off our Gertrude Hawk candy sale on Thursday, March 27th & April 3rd from 6-8:15pm @ 481 AND on Sunday, March 30th at SISC on Hopkins Rd in Liverpool from 9-1pm.  If you are on the travel team and specifically a U12/U14 member planning to travel to Disney this July please stop and pick up your box of candy from Anne Fensken during one of these dates and times.  The cost is due at the time you pick up the box of candy and checks can be made payable to Syracuse Surge for $80.  The cost is completely reimbursable to you when you sell the candy bars for $2/bar included in the box.  We have extra boxes available if you would like to purchase more than one box and for the non-traveling membership to purchase as well to support the "vision" of SSFH.   If you have any questions about the candy sale please contact Anne at afensken8@verizon.net.  Thank you!
